Gee, if only there was some way to regularly keep up with Playbrains…

…uhhh, well, some other way than this wonderful blog, I mean.
Yes, if you just can’t get enough Playbrains updates, we’ve set up a Twitter feed because, well, because that’s what the kids do these days.
So if you are aching for up-to-the-nanosecond updates (updated somewhat daily-ish), come on over and follow us at http://twitter.com/playbrains.
We promise to keep the updates on how cute our children are and the descriptions of the weird shapes of our BMs to an absolute minimum.

I was out with a couple of my favourite game-industry folks on Friday (Trevor and Don from Bedlam Games in Toronto), and amid the things we all agreed on (like how awesome we all are) and the things we all disagreed on (like what to order for the next round), there were things in the middle that made for pretty good debate fodder.
One of those topics we got into (at least as far as my recollection goes) was digital distribution for games, and how big can it get and how fast it can get there.

Clearly, the geniuses behind “Close Range” have spies on the inside at Playbrains. I’m also not sure if I’m happy or sad that if you put our gameplay footage in that vid and didn’t change anything else about the story, you’d pretty much still have an Onion video. I’ve settled on “happy”.
But remember, folks…if you buy only one “shooting people point-blank in the face” game this year, make it Madballs in…Babo:Invasion: “Where every shot is a head shot…“.

gTalk: Jonathan Bard

The next gTALK (put on by IGDA Ottawa and Interactive Ontario), is at the bitHeads offices on Monday, April 20th from 6:30pm-10:00pm.
Jonathan Bard from Ubisoft Montreal will be the guest speaker, and he will be presenting “Directing the Prince Of Persia Camera: A Sustainable Development Approach”.
